Week 1 there was so much anticipation to the 23-24 Chicago Bears, came to a complete halt week 1. Chicago was outplayed by their rivals. Justin Fields played to what the defense wanted him to do. He was contained in the pocket and the pack made him try to beat them from the pocket. Fields finished the game going 24/37 for 216 yards 1 touchdown and 1 interception, ran the ball 9 times for 59 yards. Bears finished last year as the best rushing team in the entire NFL, unfortunately they were not so dominant on the ground week 1. Khalil Herbert ran 9 times for 27 yards, free agent acquisition D’onta Foreman had 5 rushes for 16 yards and rookie Roschon Johnson was a bright spot and showed flashes during his first NFL regular season game, he ran the ball 5 times for 20 yards. The rookie displayed his toughness with a couple solid carries showing that his has and downhill physical running style. Johnson led the team in receptions with 6 next most was Cole Kmet with 5. Bears need to do a better job week 2 against Tampa. Kyler Gordon got injured and will be on the IR for the next 4 weeks with a (hand) injury. 0-1 was not what bears fans wanted and definitely was not expecting the play that we saw on Sunday but its week 1 last year we beat the San Francisco 49ers week 1 at home and only won 2 more games after that so I am going to stay optimistic and watch and see how this plays out. Coaches need to do a better job preparing the players for their opponent there’s no excuse how you come out week 1 at home and lose to your rivals in front of your fans. Thats not the ideal way you want to start the season off but we are here.
Bears fall week 1 to Green Bay 38-20
Bears play Tampa next where they try to go 1-1 to bounce back from a bad loss week 1.
